Dr. Krista Carlson

Dr. Carlson is pleased to be returning to Eau Claire where she received her undergraduate degree with a double major in Biology and Art.

She worked doing cancer research for a year before attending the University of Wisconsin- School of Veterinary Medicine where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. During her veterinary studies, she served as the Development Aid Director for the International Veterinary Students’ Association providing crucial funds and scholarship for veterinary schools in undeserved nations. She has a passion for surgery and has special interests in orthopedic, reproductive, and exotic medicine.

Dr. Carlson’s interest in animals began at an early age with her participation in rabbit showing during ARBA and 4-H events, her affection for the family guinea pigs (Ed and Edna), and as a learned partner in the family field Labrador retriever breeding kennel. She has an extraordinary pug named Oscar and is a brachycephalic (flat-faced) breed enthusiast. She enjoys exploring the outdoors and every kind of skiing. She is also an accomplished painter and hopes to continue creating new works of art.
