    Dr. David Menard was born and raised in Wheaton Township, Chippewa County. He grew up on a large dairy/beef farm. He attended Regis High School, and then went to UWEC where he received his B.S. in Zoology and Chemistry.

    Dr. Doris Durst grew up on a dairy farm near Richland Center in southwestern Wisconsin. She graduated from UW-River Falls with a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. She then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota.

    Office Manager

    Heather has always loved animals, but has a huge passion for cats and birds. She grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota and graduated from the Medical Institute of MN with an AAS in Veterinary Technology in 1997. She then spent 16 years as a Certified Veterinary Technician in an exotic animal practice in the cities. When she moved to Wisconsin she spent two years as a CVT before she started teaching future CVT’s at Globe University here in Eau Claire for another two years. In her free time, she enjoys weekends at her cabin, crafting, photography and spending time with friends and her husband, Frank. They have two dogs: Bear, a two year old Catahoula Leopard Dog and Syd, a Great Dane puppy. They also have three very spoiled cats: Harley who is eight, Chevy who is six,  and Shelby who is three. Along with a nine year old bearded dragon named spike, two Cockatiels named Spike and Silly, and a tank full of fish.

    Hannah grew up in Ladysmith, Wisconsin where she discovered her love for animals on her parent’s hobby farm as well as volunteering at the local animal shelter. She has raised and cared for a number of animals including: cows, sheep, chickens, dogs, cats, and an array of exotic pets. She then moved to Eau Claire to attend Chippewa Velley Technical College, where she graduated with honors and an Associate’s Degree in Administration with an emphasis in health care. In Hannah’s free time, she enjoys traveling, crafting, getting tattoos, and spending time with friends and family.

    Sarah has lived in Menomonie, Wisconsin her entire life, and has had an interest in animals since before she can remember. She attended the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a Veterinary Technologist emphasis. She then attended Argosy University where she received her Associate’s Degree as a Veterinary Technician. In her free time, Sarah enjoys being outside camping and horseback riding. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her two sons, Rayden who is seven and Jaxton who is four. She also has three cats: Melody (13), Pixie (1), and Rue (1), along with a Yorkie mix named Kit Kat, who is eleven.

    Morgan grew up in Bloomer, Wisconsin on a small farm where she first became interested in caring for animals. She attended Globe University and received her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology and graduated in June of 2014. She has previously worked in both customer service and kennel staff positions making her a perfect fit for our team! When the weather is nice, Morgan enjoys fishing with her husband in their John Boat and playing tennis. They also enjoy playing video games when the weather is bad. They have two dogs: Wilson (four years old) and Gatlin (two years old), both are Shih Tzu mixes, and four cats: Tiger (a seven year old tabby), Lily Ann (a six year old snow shoe), Allie Gator (a three year old calico), and Stihl (a two year old long haired gray tabby).

    Certified Veterinary Technician

    Alissa moved to a hobby farm in Cadott, Wisconsin when she was 8 years old. She has always loved caring for animals and has actually raised a lot of her own horses, beef cattle, dogs, and cats. She later attended Globe University and received her Associates Degree in Animal Science. She has worked in the animal field for about 12 years now. In her free time, she enjoys going horseback riding, watching movies and sports, and spending time with her family. Alissa’s favorite activity though is spending time with all of her animals, including five dogs, nine cats, three fainting goats, and four horses.

    Veterinary Technician

    Rachael grew up in Eleva, WI where she spent a lot of time on her Grandparents dairy farm. She currently lives in Eau Claire with her fiancé and their German Shephard Bear, two cats Tiki and Brandi, and crested gecko Remi. Rachael attended UW River Falls and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science and a Minor in Chemistry.  In her free time, she enjoys kayaking with her Grandparents, watching movies, and shopping.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Alexis grew up with a variety of animals in Osseo, WI. She started working at a local vet clinic in high school which really sparked her interest in helping and learning about animals. She currently has two dogs: a three year old red Labrador retriever named Colt, and a one year old Golden Retriever named Nova. She also has an 11 year old quarter horse named Banjo. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and swimming with her dog and riding her horse. Alexis also likes going on road trips around Osseo and discovering new places she didn’t know existed.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Ashley grew up here in the Eau Claire area and has always known she’s wanted to work with animals. She attended Chippewa Valley Technical College and received her Associate’s Degree in Animal Science Management. She has worked as a farm hand and assisted at a vet clinic previously. Ashley loves to work on crafts and read in her free time. She also enjoys spending time outdoors hunting and shooting trap, and hanging out with friends and family. Her family currently has a two year old yellow Lab named Ruger.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Skylar grew up in Sparta, Wisconsin, where she worked on a friend’s mini farm and also showed animals at the county fair. She has also worked at humane societies as well as rescues, so she has a ton of experience caring for animals already. Skylar is currently attending UWEC for Biology, majoring in Pre-Veterinarian Sciences and minoring in Pre-Professional Health Sciences. In her free time, she likes to hang out with friends and go to the gym. Her favorite activity is spending time with her three animals though. She has two German Shepherds, Reff who is eight and Sherman who is five, as well as a two year old Ragdoll cat named Penelope (Baby P. for short).

    Mikayla grew up in the small town of poplar, Wisconsin where she lived on a 40 acre hobby farm. She also showed all kinds of animals in 4-H, such as: dogs, cats, rabbits, and horses. After high school, she attended WITC – Superior for Business Management and graduated with high honors. Mikayla has worked at many jobs revolving around her love for animals, such as: A Place for Fido, Blue Sky Rabbitry, and a boarding facility in Superior. In her free time she enjoys hiking, going on road trips, and working with her dogs on obedience and agility training. She currently has four animals living with her: Charlie, a five year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Berlin a six year old German Shepherd, Ginger, an 11 year old cat, and Pepper a five year old calico. She also has her childhood dog, a 13 year old German Shepherd that still lives with her parents named Cassey.

    Annie grew up in Milwaukee, WI, but moved to the Eau Claire area in the 80’s. Her first job was in the vet field being a Veterinary Assistant where she helped with the animals, worked in the front office, and assisted on house calls. She became interested in the radiology aspect of healthcare and she has been doing that for the last 29 years. Annie attended UW Eau Claire - Luther Hospital School of Radiology as well as CVTC for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She has an Associate’s Degree in Ultrasound and a certificate of Radiological Sciences. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, spending time with her kids, and shooting trap with her husband. The two of them also love watching Harry Potter and going on Disney Cruises. They currently have two dogs: Bello, a 12 year old Plott Hound mix, and Gertie, a 3 year old mini Australian Shepherd. They also have two cats: Lily (10) and Sven (2).

    Jessica grew up in Texas and rode her first horse on South Padre Island when she was two years old. She has been in love with horses ever since that day. She is currently attending Post University online for equine science with hopes of opening a horse rescue someday. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, spending time with her family, painting, and refurbishing old furniture. She currently has six dogs: Bailey, Basil, and Cash (all mini Dachshunds), Bandit (a springer/collie mix), Cowboy (a corgi), and Cupid (a pit/lab mix). She also has four horses: Magnolia (a 4 year old Thoroughbred), Dakota (a 7 year old Appaloosa), Ace (a 14 year old Quarter horse), and Stark (a 20 year old Arabian).

    Client Service Representative

    Kala grew up right here in Eau Claire, Wisconsin on her dad’s horse ranch. She has always worked in customer service type jobs and loves to help make people’s days better. She has a very bubbly personality and is great with both our clients and their pets. In her free time, she enjoys camping, fishing, bow hunting, and four wheeling on her family's land. Kala also loves adventure and likes to take her three kids and two dogs hiking. Their favorite hobby as a family is to go to Irvine Park to see all of the animals. She currently has two dogs: Macey, a five year old Chiweenie and River, a one year old Bulldog. She has two Maine Coon cats, Bobby who is nine years old and Smokey who is 11 years old, Orangey, a 14 year old cat, and two kittens named Meela and Mearah.

  • Porter James - Clinic Cat

    Porter has been with us since December of 2016 and is about 11 years old now. He mostly likes to hang out at reception either up on his bed above the reception desk or sunbathing in the window. His favorite pass times are rubbing up against peoples faces and knocking things over to get attention. Porter is most known for his beautiful golden eyes, the white spot on his chest, and his short tail that was partially amputated after an accident. 

  • Sam - Clinic Cat
    Sam 1995 - 2012, Our long time clinic cat and friend sadly passed away in November 2012. He joined our staff in 1997 and has supervised all the comings and goings ever since. He will be missed but not forgotten.
  • Thomas - Clinic Cat

    Rest in peace sweet boy, May 30, 2019.

    Thomas is one of the most affectionate cats you will find. Sit in our lobby and Thomas is bound to be in your lap giving you BIG HUGS, whether you are a cat person or not. He is very demanding. Tommy is 18 years old and joined our team 2005.
